WaNudge ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the WaNudge browser extension.

1. Data Minimization

WaNudge is designed with a "Privacy First" architecture. As a client-side browser extension, all processing of your WhatsApp messages, contact lists, and scheduled tasks happens locally on your device.

2. Data We Access

WaNudge accesses the following data from your WhatsApp Web session:

• Chat and contact names
• Phone numbers (extracted from chat IDs)
• Message content (when using export features)
• Profile pictures (cached locally for display)

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following to our servers:

• Your WhatsApp messages or chat history.
• Your contact lists or phone numbers.
• Personal identifying information.

4. Local Storage

WaNudge uses your browser's local storage to save:

• Message templates you create
• Salutation/name mappings per contact
• Send history (last 100 bulk sends)
• Profile picture cache
• Scheduled messages

This data remains on your computer and is never synced to external databases. You can clear all stored data using the "Clear All Data" option in the extension.

5. Export Data Warning

Important: When you export data (chat list or messages), the exported CSV file will contain phone numbers and message content. Handle exported files with care and do not share them publicly.

6. Permissions Explained

WaNudge requires the following browser permissions:

• scripting - Required to inject the UI into WhatsApp Web
• tabs - Required to detect and interact with the WhatsApp tab
• storage - Required to save scheduled messages
• alarms - Required for scheduled message functionality
• notifications - Required to notify you of missed schedules

7. Third-Party Services

WaNudge interacts with WhatsApp Web. Your use of WhatsApp Web is subject to WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
